Taking place in the most modern parts of Portugal’s capital, CHALLENGELISBOA celebrates its 15th anniversary on March 27th. This iconic race is one of the most international races of the CHALLENGEFAMILY calendar. In the past, CHALLENGELISBOA has had close to 15.000 participants from 78 different nations worldwide. CHALLENGELISBOA welcomes athletes from over 40 different countries every year. In other words, CHALLENGELISBOA is a great opportunity to experience international racing at its best.

“The closest race to any European athlete’s home”, is what Race Director Paolo Passos Leite says about this. Not that strange if you realize that the race venue and all the facilities are only three kilometres away from Lisbon’s airport. Facilities around the race venue include host hotels, a major mall, shops, and restaurants. All these facilities stand out because of their exceptional Portuguese hospitality.

Taking place in the most modern parts of Lisboa, Parque das Nações, CHALLENGELISBOA has some amazing features to offer. “The swim takes place in an artificial lake that allows visitors to walk around the swim course and support the athletes during the entire first discipline. Next to the swim course, the bike course is 100% closed to traffic and the run course is completely flat. ”

Thanks to its location, athletes from all over the world can enjoy amazing weather during CHALLENGELISBOA. Over the last 15 years, the average outdoor temperature on race day was 26 degrees and the average water temperature was 19 degrees, which make it ideal race circumstances.
